| Description: | Imagine creating innovative prosthetics, designing self-driving cars or building the next Mars rover. In Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU)'s Mechanical Engineering degree program, you'll learn how to use engineering science and modern technology to address local and global challenges. In your first year, you'll start with engineering fundamentals, like calculus and physics. As you progress, you'll develop a specialized skill set studying manufacturing and fabrication, thermal and fluid processes, mechanics and machine design. In fourth year, you'll work with teammates on a capstone design project to address a real-world challenge and present your solution to industry experts. With an optional paid co-op and lab-integrated learning, you'll have many opportunities to gain practical experience in working with renewable energy, advanced materials, robotics and manufacturing processes. |
